My overarching goal is to ensure that the students at our school who have limited English proficiency are provided with equitable access to the high-quality education that their native English-speaking peers receive.
I have been an ESL Teacher for more than 10 years, and have taught online, in brick and mortar schools in the United States, and in language schools abroad. My first ESL teaching position was in Slovakia, Europe, where I lived for about 6 years. While there, I taught students of all ages from preschoolers to adults! After moving back to the United States, I taught ESL online to school-aged students from Beijing, China. Learning English can be especially challenging for students. It takes hard work and perseverance to learn academic English for success at school. As an ESL Teacher at Achievement House, I cherish the opportunity to help students develop language skills they can directly apply to their classes and to life beyond school.
I live with my husband, 2 children and our dog Mango in Glenmoore, PA. In my free time, I enjoy making homemade goat milk soap, reading, and cooking up new recipes with my kids. In the summer, I love lounging around a campfire or hanging out at the beach with my family.
